Indonesia Emphasizes Justice as Pre-requisite to Peace
Speaking at the 2nd General Assembly of the Asian Parliament Assembly (APA)
November 19th, 2007
Tehran
The Indonesian Parliament Speaker welcomed the Iranian President's emphasis on justice in international affairs during his inaugural speech today morning in Tehran at the 2nd General Assembly of the Asian Parliament Assembly (APA), as the cornerstone of maintaining peace in the world. Agung Laksono said that like Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad he believed that without justice peace is impossible.
He
reiterated that in line with this viewpoint, Asian countries should
comply with their commitments to maintain peace in the world,
especially in the Middle East region by resolving the issues of
Palestine, Lebanon, and Iraq.
The Indonesian parliament speaker
said traces of poverty are evident in Asia, similar to the experiences
of the African nations, which warrants Asian countries to come up with
due investment projects to tackle the social problems gripping this
resourceful continent.
The 2nd APA General Assembly began work in
Tehran with speeches by President, Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the
Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel.
MPs from 39 countries, including speakers, are attending the meeting to study ways of more convergence among Asian countries. [text source: irib]
Also in Tehran, Venezuelan President Chavez headed a five minister delegation to Iran. The Venezuelan president is to review the latest regional and
international developments as well as further expansion of economic and
political relations between the two countries with Ahmadinejad.
Both Chavez and Ahmadinejad had been attending the OPEC summit in
Riyadh, where Chavez warned oil could hit $200 a barrel if the US was
"mad enough to launch a military attack on Iran".
Iran has strongly been cultivating its ties with Non-Aligned allies like Belarus, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Syria and Venezuela. [text sources: irib & alalam]
- Why did the US media put you under so much pressure to prevent Mr. Ahmadinejad from delivering his speech at Columbia University? And why have American TV networks been broadcasting hours of news reports insulting our president while refusing to allow him the opportunity to respond? Is this not against the principle of freedom of speech?
- Why, in 1953, did the US administration overthrow the Iran’s national government under Dr Mohammad Mosaddegh and go on to support the Shah’s dictatorship?
- Why did the US support the blood-thirsty dictator Saddam Hussein during the 1980-88 Iraqi-imposed war on Iran, considering his reckless use of chemical weapons against Iranian soldiers defending their land and even against his own people?
- Why is the US putting pressure on the government elected by the majority of Palestinians in Gaza instead of officially recognizing it? And why does it oppose Iran ’s proposal to resolve the 60-year-old Palestinian issue through a general referendum?
- Why has the US military failed to find Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden even with all its advanced equipment? How do you justify the old friendship between the Bush and Bin Laden families and their cooperation on oil deals? How can you justify the Bush administration’s efforts to disrupt investigations concerning the September 11 attacks?
- Why does the US administration support the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) despite the fact that the group has officially and openly accepted the responsibility for numerous deadly bombings and massacres in Iran and Iraq? Why does the US refuse to allow Iran ’s current government to act against the MKO’s main base in Iraq?
- Was the US invasion of Iraq based on international consensus and did international institutions support it? What was the real purpose behind the invasion which has claimed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives? Where are the weapons of mass destruction that the US claimed were being stockpiled in Iraq?
- Why do America’s closest allies in the Middle East come from extremely undemocratic governments with absolutist monarchical regimes?
- Why did the US oppose the plan for a Middle East free of unconventional weapons in the recent session of the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors despite the fact the move won the support of all members other than Israel?
- Why is the US displeased with Iran’s agreement with the IAEA and why does it openly oppose any progress in talks between Iran and the agency to resolve the nuclear issue under international law?
According to cognitive dissonance theory, there is a tendency for individuals to seek consistency among their cognitions (i.e., beliefs, opinions). When there is an inconsistency between attitudes or behaviors (dissonance), something must change to eliminate the dissonance. In the case of a discrepancy between attitudes and behavior, it is most likely that the attitude will change to accommodate the behavior.
Two factors affect the strength of the dissonance: the number of dissonant beliefs, and the importance attached to each belief. There are three ways to eliminate dissonance: (1) reduce the importance of the dissonant beliefs, (2) add more consonant beliefs that outweigh the dissonant beliefs, or (3) change the dissonant beliefs so that they are no longer inconsistent.
Dissonance occurs most often in situations where an individual must choose between two incompatible beliefs or actions. The greatest dissonance is created when the two alternatives are equally attractive. Furthermore, attitude change is more likely in the direction of less incentive since this results in lower dissonance. In this respect, dissonance theory is contradictory to most behavioral theories which would predict greater attitude change with increased incentive (i.e., reinforcement).
In reducing dissonance (mental discomfort), the easiest is to elliminate the proposal/attitude that has caused the dissonance (by simply removing it or by building a "case" to reduce its importance). The hardest is to change ones attitude/belief. Belief change is therefore the last resort. According to the theory, this is true even if there is more intrinsic reward (incentive) available to the subject if she changed her belief. In fact, the theory claims that IF attiitude change occurs, it is in the direction of LESS incentive, not more incentive. Trashing the "offending" proof to reduce dissonance, is in fact an attitudinal adjustment in the direction of less incentive (where proofs for one's belief equals "incentive") then this aspect of the theory comes into it's own.
This proposal goes some way in explaining the behaviour of a mob (example in the audience in the video above). A slightly different point worth making, is that social behaviourist regard the reward (cognitive incentive or reinforcement) of "social belonging" as more covert or more influential or powerful as incentives, and so cognitive dissonance theory (according to behaviour theory and social exchange theory) is less of a novel theory and merely a re-stating of classic behaviour theory. Whether cognitive or classic or social behaviourist, the conclusion of the arguments still explain the tendency in point, viz,
.. attitude change is the last resort, even in the face of the obvious i.e. that one's beliefs are erroneous and require adjustment.
When ones beliefs are tenuous: i.e. based on weak assumptions and backed by little evidence, and when ones very identity is built on such weak belief or world view, the individual sticks to his belief system, "come hell or high water". A kind of desperation, if you will. Stated differenty, seeing the shark infested water outside his tiny lifeboat, and a long distance to the shore, he chooses the boat. In such cases, re-adjusting ones beliefs would require so great a behaviour change, (involving also difficult shifts in social identity, alterations of group membership, etc.) that attitude change is only considered by the strongest most independent members of "the mob". The individual perceives that he will be ostracised and left alone, and so he just never considers a shift.

Iranian lawmakers called on the UN to deal with American torture and illegal holding facilities at Guantanamo Bay and other secret locations. They labelled the US troops and the CIA as terrorists.
"They (the U.S. army and the CIA) support Israel's state terrorism in its crackdown on Palestinian and Lebanese people, trained Al-Qaida and Taliban and established secret prisons in Europe, torture prisoners in Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib,"
Inspectors from the UN nuclear watchdog IAEA, or the International Atomic Energy Agency, on Monday visited a sensitive Iranian heavy water nuclear reactor in Arak, the official IRNA news agency reported.
Iran has blocked inspections from the IAEA to its nuclear sites since January this year after the UN Security Council imposed sanctions over the country's controversial nuclear program.

It is interesting to see what different results reporters end up with, starting from a different perspective.
The lady here of course, is dear Zelda Herzl who in her zenith, like lady luck, received a gift from the thief who had no right to be the giver in the first place. And that, her father, the mean Theodor, who punted the foul idea that a God in whom he had less than little faith, on the contrary, whom he denied the very existence of, had promised the land be given the lady by the thief who had stolen it. No wonder then, he had no friend who scholarly at that time in 1917 would stand with him, the podium to uphold by scriptures leaned against it so as to support thereupon the speaker, Theo our dear father of Zelda. Now the harlot protests much. "I knowest enough" sayeth she, "and want not more to hurt my delicate frame, with cold hard memory". Of course, she knows a lot, and we forget less than she.
Such argument, made by pimp intellectual de Columbia Universal Scientiae, of late. So eloquently unconvincing an argument to those who had ears to hear, if any there had been there, by Earl of Bollocks Bollinger in his treatise de character suicide. "'is the most researched thing in all history" or something of this kind, now how my weak and ghastly severed mind serveth me feebly, most inaccurately, I'd ask of my readers that ye do me the kindness of granting me pardon. And for his conclusion then, "no more needs to be said nor observed by any other". Again, most inaccurately volleyed he, yet caught i the gist of yon pale line of reason, most tangengial findeth the one who seeks to wander in a forest or maze on sunny afternoon, with parasol to as succour from unkindly sunlight [mp3]. Is it Denmark this time of year, for hear I the geese. Is it so, pray tell me. It reeks foul. Perchance the inhabitors of more eastern regions that seek out the foul this mid-autumn festival to annoint their tables, and make sacrifices to the elders, ancestors? Nay, surely, it be Denmark's fate as well? Nay, ye are the learned ones. The relative of the Hun hath a tradition to impart to all humanity. One of subtle depth, and refin'ed tact. When employee is about to be dismissed, at dinner table, in audience of the entire workforce, he is presented a foul, whose head faceth the benefactor (not so much the benefactor as the foul, for he is most least held so by the employer). In fact, he that receives the foul, glaring squint at him, is the one who next receives the chop, most ungraciously not from the chef, but from the host of such a banquet. It stares at him, his own pageant, such as Bollinger did prepare, and laughs him all the way out of town. Does what the dear Zelda received, this equate: intellecual wanton revelry? For her earlier setting up of the, cause, the terror and the solution most bizarre, the billions in profits that came in coffers galore, and the blood in coffers most macabre. Cry foul! Foul! Yes, foul for sure, we all are in the know. You cry foul and so did we.

Ahmadinejad Interview on CBS - 60 minutes (location: Tehran Sept 2007)
While negotiations continue in Iran, with the Islamic Republic doing everything according to the law, the US Congress proceeded with illegal threats and sanctions against Iran because it's leaders choose to exercise the nation's legal right to enrich uranium. Even as the US Congress took this draconiun step, Elbaradei and his team resumed talks in Iran. The talks are a follow up to the negotiations which adjourned in August with the agreement between Tehran and the IAEA on a time table to resolve remaining issues of concern on a scientific and rational basis [document of understanding].
It would seem that even though the Iranian president extends peaceful hands to the US administration, she is still steered by her zionist bosses.
Extract from the Alalam report:
Last month, Iran and IAEA has agreed on a timetable for the Islamic Republic to answer the top questions over the nuclear program.
Tehran also allowed the IAEA inspectors to visit its sensitive Arak heavy water nuclear reactor, apparently in order to persuade the international community not to choose a third sanction against the country.
In accordance with Iran-IAEA agreement, negotiations on Iran's P1 and P2 centrifuges are scheduled to be finalized on September 24th and 25th to clarify all remaining ambiguities on the matter, after which this matter would be deleted from the two sides' negotiations agenda.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday the issue of his country's nuclear ambitions was "closed" and a matter to be handled by the U.N. watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Q: In the light of the US Congress and pending French decisions concerning further sanctions against Iran, is the Nuclear Issue closed as a political issue?
A: The extended sanctions do not surprise us, but as far as we are concerned, the issue on a legal question, it is now an IAEA matter. In my opinion, my time here was not hard.
Q: Concerning academic freedoms, why is there so little academic freedom in Iran?
A: Open debate between Iranian president and students in Iran is common place. The academics mentioned in American media are still active in Iran and are not especially limited or restricted. For some legal issues common to all societies, some persons may appear before our independent judicial process in Iran.
Q: Concerning the president's comments about the IAEA as the only relevant agency, what about the Security Council
A: The sanctions by some global powers are completely illegal and their power is projected on others via the Security Council and by their veto rights within the Security Council. What is right for us to do is to cooperate with the IAEA and to resist.
Q: Nuclear facility in Syria attacked by Israel. What would Iran do if it were attacked
A: Next question please.
Q: What is Iran doing to curb climate change
A: We can reduce the consumption of fuel. All countries must commit to uphold the necessary standards to reduce harm to the environment.
Q: Iran's neighbours are concerned and the US has claimed that there is an Iranian military dissident, apparently a former defense minister who has evidence as to secret nuclear experiments in Iran.
A: These are propaganda games that are obsolete. We don;t have a defense minister who has left our country and neither are our neighbours concerned about the nuclear issue. The controversy is fabricated and illegal, even according to the IAEA report.
Q: Do you recognise Israel?
A: A usurpative illegal regime and the solution is based on humane concerns. We insist that the Palestinian nation must participate in a referendum to decide on their own fate. Palestinians, whether Muslims, Jewish or Christians, should decide without interference from others. As to the continued existence of Israel, let me ask how the Soviet Union is no more today? The people themselves voted the Union out of existence.
Q: Concerning Iraq
A: Iran and Iraq have a long history of cooperation. Those others who have made mistakes are seeking to blame others for their own failures. The solution is to respect Iraqis and to engage that nation with respect.
Q: Concerning Columbia University and the long line of support for your comments at the General Assembly
A: The debate at the University meeting speaks for itself. The meeting was welcomed widely by students. We must all practice the capacity to listen to things we do not like.

The Challenges facing the nations
- Lewdness, violence and breaking the boundaries of chastity and decency threaten the Family and social coherance.
- Some global powers are a power unto themselves. Human rights violated by secret trials and breaches of privacy and by prosecuting scientists.
- Invasion of states and then use conditions created as a pretext for continued occupation. Palestine and Iraq mentioned as a prime example of this strategy employing depravation and coercion and propaganda and threats.
- Aggressions against indigenous powers and their values. Singled out monotheistic cultures that are ridiculed and profaned in order to question the existence of God and to promote blind consumerism in its stead.
- Global poverty and depravation. Tragic situation dominating economic international
- Ignoring human values including honesty purity and trust. Proporgate instead mistrust.
- Violations of international laws. Contravention of charters and treaties.
- Escalation of threats and the arms race.
- There are few protections by International forums
The Roots and Causes of these challenges
- The outcome of the world war sixty years ago. Some pwers still regard themselves as the victors and the others as the vanquished. Regretably, the UN Security Council is ineffectual. Perpetrators are also the Judges and Jury in international affairs.
- Disregard of morals, divine values, teachings of prophets, and the rule of the incompetant. Human dignity is no longer respected by impious powers. Disregard of ethics and the rule of the selfish.
Solution
For enduring stability and security. A forum of nations should be established for promoting justice and democracy based on monotheism, and affection of nations
Nuclear Issue
Iran has been deprived and prevented in attempts to prevent Iran from gaining access to the energy cycle and its scientific progress. Iran has sufferred illegal threats and sanctions. Nevertheless, Iran has progressed. The nuclear [political] issue of Iran has now closed and has turned into an ordinary IAEA matter.
Thanks and Invitations to Peace
Thanks to the nations who have supported Iran for standing by the international law. Iran is willing to offer its help to all nations, under educational programs. A statement and an invitation to arrogant powers to return from the path of following satan and to return to compassion to others an respect for human dignity, or else they will be punished as other arrogant nations before them.
Declaration
The end of the era of darkness, materialism and selfishness is overdue. A new age of compassion, dignity, and justice is the key to unity and constructive interaction. This is the promise of God, therefore it will become reality.

When asked about the subject of homosexuals in Iran, the president correctly avoided embarrasing Iranians with details of this sort of sordid phenomenon. Indeed, he should have laid out the reasons Iran still outlaws this kind of practice. He may have attracted some support had he done this. Obviously, he favored a conservative brsushing off of the topic and focussed his answer instead on the conditions that women enjoy in Iran i.e. that they are valued as first class citizens. "I'm not saying that it didn't happen at all," he said. "I said, granted this happened, what does it have to do with the Palestinian people?"
Speaking about Israel:
"We do not recognize that regime because it is based on occupation and racism. It constantly attacks its neighbors," Ahmadinejad said in a video news conference from New York with the National Press Club in Washington, citing recent Israeli military action in Syria and Lebanon.
"It kills people. It drives people from their homes."
Reuters
The entity known as israel exists as a result of racial discrimination. It's continued disregard for human rights is a blemish on all humanity. The Durban conference of 2001 (now over shadowed by the zionist-driven events of September 2001), clearly demonstrated that the world is strongly opposed to the new apartheid in the Holy Land. The implications of the actions of this terror state can be seen in the sad global conflict which threatens to continue spreading like a cancer. Of all the nations on God's beautiful earth, why does South Africa still cozy up to this terrorist state occupying Jerusalem?

The Iranian president, Ahmadi Nejad speaking to the Washington Press Corps on Monday Sept 24th 2007, made these wise comments:
"We do not recognize that regime because it is based on discrimination" and, "It consistently threatens its neighbors."
Good for you President Ahmadi Nejad. Of course, many of his statements continue to be misquoted and ridiculed as deceptive by those who try to conceal the truth about the zionist terrorists and their plans for global domination. Anyone who needs proof for what may seem strange and unbelievable, only needs to look at the wars being fought in order to dominate the oil rich region. Surely South Africa's leaders realise that when Africa stands up against this mighty force of evil, she will be attacked by the kind of military force we see in Iraq and Somalia. What cowards they are to continue to lie to us. We should be putting our voice more firmly behind the downtrodden instead of accepting bribes silently. This kind of dishonesty attracts politicians of low morality and in the end, greed leads to a spiral of moral corruption, and eventual social and political decay. Domestically and internationally, South Africa will lose ground until the truth becomes painfully obvious. Of course, economically South Africa will continue to grow from strength to strength as we did under Apartheid. But in the end, the pack of cards will come tumbling down.
My question remains, why does South Africa support this terror driven state calling itself Israel? I hazard to make two guesses: 1) my question will be ignored or largely countered by unreasonable responses 2) the reason South Africa supports Israel is because Israel supports South Africa i.e. nothing has changed since Apartheid was abolished. A new Apartheid has emerged since the ANC was unbanned. It is an economic apartheid and the country is still dominated by the same kind of selfish criminals as before.

Our prayers are that the Iranian people continue to protect the truth and oppose evil. And for the people of Azania and Palestine, may they also one day be free.
