Asalaamu alaykum my Dear Brother,
Nice post! This war was started on false pretenses as we all know and I believe fully that the following are the reasons we are still occupying Iraq:
1. Saddam became a menace
2. To assist the Zionist state of Israel in attacking the Islamic Republic of Iran
3. To expolit the oil resources and provide contract work for American companies (there are currently more contractors in Iraq than American soliders)
4. To disunite people of different faiths and even people of the same faith
However, I say, actually God says, there is a Day of Judgment. We must all answer to Him. I wonder who will answer to God for all these hundreds of thousands of innocent deaths in Iraq? Do they not have a heart? On whose hands is the blood of these civilians? They want to talk about a holocaust? What about the million Muslims massacred by Saddam after the Bush 1 administration left them as sitting ducks in Baghdad in 1991 (mass graves)? What about the 1 million or more Iranians that died at the hands of Saddam's imposed 8 year war supported by the "Superpowers?" There is only ONE superpower and that is God (Glorified and Most High).
To the hipocrytes, killing one nation or people of one religion, is more atrocious than killing anyone else on God's earth. The same kind also go around saying that one religion is the only path to our Father's house. How misguided they are. Even though they claim to follow the holy man, Jesus, they have learned nothing at all from his message. They misinterpret the meaning of "I am the truth, the way." Insetad of following His example of how to call all into the Kingdom, they want to turn his Holy places into places of commerce. His churches, His cities, are all defiled with this kind of rubbish good news that is really bad news, and yesetrday's trash to the large majority of the world (excuse my harsh words, but I am overturning myths like Jesus overturned tables in the synagogue). Peopl who say these things that I am saying,. must pay the kind of price that Jesus paid. Martyrdom. How beautiful it is.
How tragic that the great deceiver manages to mislead so many people. I try not to get too worked up, because it is in anycase, prophesied that this will preceed other important events. Only hypocrytes deny this, yet they are also the one's punching the Bible as they see it, down the throats of a largely unwilling humanity. They are doomed to failure, praise the one and only living GOD MOST HIGH.
Peace be Unto you my dear brother,
You reminded me of a movie series I was watching called Mariam al Muqadassa (The Holy Virgin Mary). Even though the movie was produced from an Islamic perspective, it gave us just a glimpse at her pure personality and the social climate leading up to the birth of the Perfect one, Jesus (alayhis salam). The Prophet Zackaria was mocked by his own people. Believers who came to his defense were accused of being outcasts and extremists. The interesting thing is that leading up to the coming of the Messiah Jesus, those few believers were warning the people of Jerusalem that they had changed the word of Moses and were not following his message, instead they were changing his message to fit their desires. In the end, God strengthened them and sent the Messiah for their salvation. It's amazing how similarly true, believing, and humble people are saying the same thing nowadays and are being accused with the same old rhetoric. When we say that Jesus will return or Imam Mahdi and Jesus together, we are mocked. It's not only churches that have reached the condition you mentioned, also our mosques are like that sometimes.
Also, regarding the martyrdom issue, it has been grossly misrepresented. For example, many Americans consider people like Martin Luther King Jr and Malcom X to be martyrs because they stood for a righteous cause and gave up their lives for that, yet when someone from a different race dies trying to protect his family from a bulldozer, he is considered a barbarian. To me, I can only quote Imam Hussain (as) who said, "I would rather die that to live in humiliation (of faith)." Meaning, he would never comprimise on his principles of righteousness even if it meant his death and in fact he gave himself and many of his own family and if he could have given more he would have. And when he was on the virge of death, he said, "My Lord, I have left all of my world for your cause. And I have orphaned my children seeking your satisfaction. And even when I soon shall be cut into pieces, I will never direct my love toward any other than You." I ask people who try to link martyrdom to the killing of innocent people to wake up and understand that is not what it is. Wasn't Abraham ordered by God to sacrifice Isaac (or Ishmael, in the Islamic doctrine)? According to Christan belief, didn't Jesus have to give up his life to save mankind? The understanding of religion in society has become so cloudy and people have lost sincere brotherhood and love. Even so, I pray that all Christians, Muslims, Jews, and other faiths can one day live in peace on this earth, Ameen.
Though this post appears in at least one major Christian group, i have yet to receive one comment from anyone. Is it a sign that people are afraid to express themselves? I believe that the church (the body of believers) is truly persecuted in the so called free world. They are not allowed to question certain things out of the fear that the brother "Uniter" mentions so eloquently.
I continue to pray for those being persecuted and forced to agree to doctrines that go against the truth of our Father's Law. A doctrine that says that Christians should be comfortable is not a truthful doctrine. The early Christians had to pay the ultimate price for being who they are. We are called in every age to do the same. This message is brought across by a Lutheran priest, father Steve Brown in an impassioned podcast.
Praise God for such people. And I continue to pray that more people break out of the bondage, like the Israelites out of Babylon. Jesus' message was anti-racial, and called into question the validity of the sects that politicians had created in Jerusalem in order to strengthen themselves in this life. His message says to me that we are all Israelites, believers in God's word and in God's prophets. Yet the deceptive satan manages to divide us, and tells us that Israeli's are those who support murder in the middle-east. Shame on those who create this lie.
Thank you brother Uniter for the mention of that film. I will do my best to appraise myself of that movie, Insh'allah. Ameen.
Thank you my Dear Respected Brother Yahya,
May God bless you. In fact, I am a Muslim, however, I consider you to be my sincere brother in faith even though you are Christian. Your courage and thoughtfulness make me humble before your words of sincerity. Imam Ali used to say, "When you come across anyone, if he is a Muslim then he is your brother in faith, and if he not a Muslim, he is still your brother in humanity, so treat him with kind words and goodwill."
